August Supermoon

ree

Dear Tarot Friends,

I have been a bit sick the past few weeks and I have not been able to do my write ups for the different moon phases. I was actually going to let the write for this past Supermoon which is also called the Sturgeon Supermoon in Aquarius which was on Thursday, 11 August, pass on without my write up. I have found myself in discussions with a few people and it seems that even though this article is a bit late, it would be helpful for many with their situations. The Full Sturgeon Moon is linked with Uranus, a planet that represents things that can be sudden or unexpected; it is also connected with Saturn, which creates energy about what it is that you want and what are you going to do about it. Remember as always, that new moons are when we plant and plan and full moons is where we harvest our energies. This is a time to to learn new things and to experience unexpected things.

We often talk about light as bringing us new information and insight into our lives. The moon is one of two lights in the sky, the sun being the other and, when it is at its brightest, it often makes us aware of things we hadn’t realized before. The full moon allows us to see more at night; the mystery of night is illuminated and we can see through the darkness. In this darkness we can see the parts of ourselves we don’t want to see - and we can release it. Perhaps that is why we talk about full moons as being a time of releasing, letting go, and saying goodbye.

Most people find that an Aquarius full moon is not an easy time for them. Aquarius is the humanitarian sign and the sign that steps back and looks at the bigger picture. When we step back we can see the patterns and understand and see how everything fits together. Aquarians are known for their vision, idealism, and individuality. The moon, on the other hand, rules Cancer and is very emotional, changeable, concerned with her inner world, and easily picks up the energies of other planetary bodies.

When the moon is in Aquarius, we can feel somewhat detached from emotions and have a desire to retreat from them. Therefore, a full moon in Aquarius is a time when we might be confronted with our desire to figure everything out with logic. We can feel frustrated with an Aquarius full moon, wanting answers and not being able to fully release our frustration. This full moon will cause unexpected things to happen in your life that’ll make you rethink everything.

On the relationship front, you’ll have a craving to be with someone that make you feel accepted. Life might also throw you a curve ball or two. You need to train yourself to listen to your gut and to flow with things when plans change. These skills will help you become a better, well rounded person.

Hope that this was understandable and relatable with what many of you are experiencing.

Take care

xoxo
