Although we are already in the second month of the year, it is never too late to start a vision board. Some people prefer to start any new projects from the beginning of the year. Others could say that seeing as the Chinese New Year has just started, this is a good time to start a vision board. While others might find that starting their vision board after their birth date is a better estimation for a year round evaluation. However you see it, you can proceed or choose not to.
For me a vision board is more than just about goal setting. This for me is why I find journaling and affirmations work hand in hand with a vision board, that way you can understand the 'why' you want to achieve certain goals in your life. When you understand your why, the planning and execution thereof flows so much easier.
I have personally used a combination of visual images as well as timeframe goals to create my vision boards. One of the greater ways for alignment for me is meditation and the self awareness and self realization to dig deeper within myself to understand my motivation. I feel that allows more clarity and direction. Your focus can be about acquiring certain material things or certain spiritual enlightenment, or emotionally balance or clarity of thought, etc ; as long as you understand the 'why' behind your drive then you can recognize the manifestations when they turn up in your life. Vision boards help you achieve your goals in a timely manner.
Starting on your vision board
You first need to know what is your vision.
What do you want to focus on?
What do you want to achieve this year? What are your Intentions?
Own your vision.
Manifest your vision. You can use affirmations in line with your vision.
Make it visual for yourself so that you can look at, claim it and work on it.
What you should get to start:
A3 paper or bigger
Press-stick
Highlighters
Color pens
Black pen
Pictures
or you could create a digital vision board
How to start:
Make a heading: "VISION BOARD"
Write down everything you would like to achieve.
Under each goal, write down how you want to achieve it.
Stick it somewhere you can see it every day.
Love to you,
Meenakshi
